TDA AFC North Draft Grades

Baltimore Ravens: B+
The Ravens were one of four teams to have multiple first round picks and they did an excellent job with them in my opinion. Rashod Bateman was a fantastic pick for them. He can be a key piece to helping this team take the next step in the passing game and help Lamar become the elite passer that he is capable of being. The Ravens also drafted Odafe (Jayson) Oweh, a freaky athletic pass rusher who can help replace the losses of Matt Judon and Yannick Ngakoue. They added some solid pieces in Bene Cleveland, Tylan Wallace, and Ben Mason which should help add to their strengths as well as help them become more balanced. One player I didn't like was Shaun Wade. He struggled a lot this past season but this could be his best fit as he can play strictly in the slot.
Cincinnati Bengals: A-
The Bengals pairing Ja'Marr Chase back up with Joe Burrow is a dream come true for many NFL fans. That duo was absolutely dominant in the 2019 college football season and will look to carry that chemistry over to the NFL. The Bengals than looked to the trenches where there next five picks were. Two offensive lineman which was a massive need for them, especially on the interior line, and three defensive lineman in Tyler Shelvin, Joseph Ossai, and Cameron Sample. Ossai is a versatile edge defender who can have success against both the run and pass and Shelvin in a massive nose tackle that can eat up blocks on first and second down. Evan McPherson, a kicker out of Florida, was their 5th round pick and will hopefully fix all of the issues in the kicking department.
Cleveland Browns: A
The Browns absolutely killed this draft. Greg Newsome II out of Northwestern was my 3rd ranked corner and will fit in perfectly on the opposite side of Denzel Ward. He can play any coverage asked and has also shown the desire to consistently tackle. Their 2nd round pick may have been the steal of the draft. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was a lock for the 1st round for many analysts and he slid all the way down to pick 52 where the Browns traded up for him. He is a hybrid linebacker/safety who is very good in coverage and fills a need at linebacker for the Browns. They also added some depth on offense with Anthony Schwartz who is a speedster along with Senior Bowl standout Demetric Felton who can play RB or WR.
Pittsburgh Steelers: B
The Steelers are getting very close to the end of Big Ben's career and are looking to make one last run. 1st rounder Najee Harris is a beast and fits the mold of a three-down back that the Steelers love to use. Pat Freiermuth is another Steeler prototype who is an excellent pass catching tight end that they haven't had since Heath Miller. Kendrick Greene and Dan Moore Jr ad much needed depth and potentially starting players to the offensive line. My favorite pick from the Steelers came in the 6th round with edge rusher Quincy Roche who is an absolute technician when rushing the passer. Lastly is 255lb punter, Pressley Harvin III.
